switches itself on in standby, needs fimware update so sending it back to fix this


General Comments

Bought this Samsung SM933HD on Thursday was on the phone to Samsung on the Saturday. When in standby it switches itself on for a few seconds, you get sound with no picture. It frightended the life out of me when I was getting a drink in the middle of the night! They say it needs a firmawre update so you have to arrange for them to pick it up (free of charge) and then they say it takes 5-7 working days to get back to you. It's Easy to set up, apart from the stand which is quite tricky,(thought they'd included the wrong size!) The picture is great, digital tv menus are good and the sound is adequate. Apart from firmware issue,extremely annoying,(Why don't they sort it out before sending them to the stores?) I am happy with it.
