Bad Points

Guarantee is worthless if you got your item in a sale and it has to be written off as an uneconomical repair.
you will be out of pocket after buying your item again, or you will have to suffer getting a lower spec model with the refund they offer


General Comments

I Purchased a Hotpoint washing machine from a new comet store which had a grand opening sale. after 3 months the washer went faulty and to cut a long story short, the engineers could not fix it and so it was written off. I was told that because i had bought the washer in a sale that i was not entitled to a like for like replacement as the same machine is now 78 quid more to buy in store. They offered me a voucher to spend instore to the value of the sale price which i got the washer for.
So now im out of pocket as to get the same machine i have had to spend another 78 quid. A Guarantee is worth NOTHING from comet!!! DO NOT BUY IN THE SALES!!!!
