General Comments

Paid my account by bank transfer which cleared one day late was charged a £12 fee, interest and my O% on purchases was cancelled. I phoned customer services who agreed to re-instate the 0%. I cannot understand why the payment took so long to clear as two other accounts I paid on the same day cleared the following day. Virgin say it is because they are not a clearing bank but neither are the other two - strange.I asked them to waiver the fee and interest as a goodwill gesture and they refused even thought I have an excellent payment record with them. The person I spoke to was very patronising and suggested that I set up a direct debit with them so I do not slip up again. I will close the account.
