I ordered 2 computers from Laptops Direct one day and a third the second. On the second day I chose a computer at a disclosed price. They then after I placed the order said the price was incorrect and that it was approx. £150 more. I said no I had already to ordered the computer at the lower price and that I expected it at that price. Despite this they took (debit card) £1700 out of my account. I receive a delivery of a laptop, because it was a laptop it was obviously because of the size of the packaging, which I accepted. The delivery notes of the other two packages gave no indication which was the one which has been incorrectly priced so I rejected both. I telephoned the firm numerous times and faxed letters to them setting out the position. They were rude when I did manage to speak to them and then they ignored me. I had received a laptop for £700 and they had taken £1700. I was down by £1000. I issued proceedings in the County Court and they paid up straight away.
