Good Points

pickup positions 2,3,4,5 sounds like a strat, position 1 sounds like a standard humbucker. Good balance when strapped on. Hum canceling positions 1,2,&4 It;s an all around great guitar.

Bad Points

Trem set needs a stop block. The bridge humbucker needs to be a little brighter for my taste.

General Comments

Peavey Detonator JX USA made 24 fret maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, neck has a small radius and fits the palm of your hand like it was made for it, and is also very fast. The body is made of popular wood, very light but still has tone. Bridge, Floyd Rose Trem set is good but needs a stop block just like all trem sets. Pickups, bridge humbucker, middle and neck are single coil. Doesn't need any mods. It's a shame that Peavey discontinued this model as they have others in the past. They just can't corner the market on guitars as well as they do their amps. They listed for around $800 new.
