Easy access, town centre.
Bad Points
There is no counter service anymore at my local branch. Cash withdrawal machines, Paying in machines, Statement machine,Telephone and internet banking machine,, etc.
You can no longer cash a cheque at the branch. You have to use your bank card to withdraw its daily limit ,and make several trips per week to the cashpoint if a larger sum of money is needed.
I was told by the call centre that I could not be put through to my branch unless I knew someone personally..and that I would have to travel to another branch that did cash cheques !
This is no longer a banking service.It is an impersonal ,machine run building..
General Comments
I have held an account with HSBC for 19 years. I was happy with the service at my local branch until they underwent a refurb a few months ago.
If letters were sent out to customers informing them of what the changes were going to be then I would have found another bank.
