General Comments

Still trying to get refund from Homebase for last year for my mother, there is never anyone in store at weekend with authorisation.
Long story ... matching sideboard and table ordered in store, wrong item was delivered. as correct item was unavailable for unknown number of weeks, we asked for both items to be collected and a refund issued.
>A couple of months went by and still no return appeared on the bank statements so we telephoned homebase to be told that my mother would have to visit the store to get her refund.
My mother is over 80 and can't walk unaided so she needs to be taken to the homebase store, about 8 miles from where she lives. I've taken her three times, always at a weekend, and there has never been an employee of sufficient status to make the refund (which is about £200) and the only helpful suggestions from the on-duty staff involve coming in Monday-Friday between 9 and 5.
Thing is, we made the original purchase at a weekend. Apparently, the staff had authority to take her money...
