The series takes self-respecting teenagers and turns and places them in situations which eight-years olds would find immature. The plots are terrible; I watched one where a bloke was trying to turn people into zombies through subliminal messaging. I can ' t think of anything more ridiculous!
Military Intelligence divisions are tasked with defending the UK from internal and external threats. They are a group of intellectual hitmen who remove the enemies of the British state. They spend their lives out manoeuvring the CIA, the Chinese Government, and terrorist factions, so to compare them with a bunch of incompetent teenagers is more than insulting.
Moving away from plots, being a good actor does not seem to be a requirement when trying to get on this show. As long as you fit in with the PC of the BBC (you are an Afro-Chinese single mother of three who ' s ninety three years of age and living in a council flat) you are guaranteed to get on it.
Programs such as Tracy Beaker show the world how it really is, with good acting combined with strong plots. We want young versions of James Bond with that hint more realism. Bad guys who are tactical geniuses, who will happily murder, maim and burn to get their way. And plots which you know are going to be foiled in the last few seconds of the show, as the countdown timer on the bomb reaches 00:01.
Please, this show cannot be salvaged. Scrap it and gives us something which teenagers who know just a little bit about the world outside their front door will want to watch.
