Getting a big refund.

The rude customer service and the amount of time it took to sort the issue.
General Comments
Received a huge bill from EON Gas & Electricity. Questioned it as have a small house and out at work all day. Told it was correct and asked to pay it. Advised I couldn't afford all they were asking - it was over fifteen hundred pounds ! Told to go onto a payment plan of 120 pounds a month and that I would have to have a pre payment meter fitted. Advised this was still too much and still didn't understand how I could possibly owe that much. Then the customer service lady became really rude and told me I shouldn't use the Gas if I couldn't afford to pay it and should put some money by in a tin each week!!
Turned out after months of me complaining that they had been sending me someone elses meter reading and that they now owed me a big refund !

I found this review very helpful because...we are having the same problem as we are in a one bed flat and eon want 200 pounds a month for gas and electricity.
i have been on to customer service told them we work during the day and our bills cannot be this amount as we have compared our bills with neighbours
who are at home during the day AND USING GAS AND ELECTRIC,yet they have lower bills thaen us.
now we are getting the metre checked at our own COST OF 93 POUNDS as it is the only way we can solve this,you just feel they dont want to know but if
my bills were low they would monitor the metre NO PROBLEM.I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN.WILL BE GLAD WHEN THIS GETS SORTED OUT.
