General Comments

I thought admiral Car Insurance were quite good because they were cheaper than most other companies. Then I found out why. After paying £900 for the year and 2 months into the insurance.. I was hit head on by an uninsured driver in a stolen car, who was speeding and had ran a red light. So I wasn't at fault at all. Anyway.. my car was written off. Admiral didn't bother finding any details out from the police on the fact that the car was insured by the girlfriend of the driver, thus if they had persisted they could have claimed off of her insurance. Instead they decided to pay out the full value of the car to me, minus the £500 excess (fair enough) and THEN, cancel the insurance and keep the £900 premium. To cut a long story short, instead of going through the hassle of claiming off the girlfriends insurer (I have free legal cover) they would much rather prefer to take away my premium, excess and leave me with no car, my no claims bonus down the drain and very out of pocket!! Plus, I now can't get insured on another vehicle for anything under £1800 . And it could have all been so much easier if I'd just had a better insurer who would have been able to suspend the premium whilst I bought another car. How disgusting.
