Gothom's Review of Honda VTR1000 Firestorm 998 Sports Bike
24th Apr 2009
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Length of ownership6 yrs
- Reliability

- Year Manufactured2000
- Build quality

It is light and narrow, corners very good. Twin power on two bros exhaust. Sounds good and lots o torque Other riders think it is a 600 because of its size
Bad Points
The red light of death comes on at 170 km (approx 100 miles?). So touring is a hassel.
General Comments
The Honda VTR1000 Firestorm 998 is very good for around town. Fast, low and go. Its nick name is the street fighter. Outside of town, small tank and cheap seat.

hi,
due to the early firestorm having a 16 litre tank and a range of 170 km,can anybody tell me if the later 19 litre tank will fit the earlier model without too much hassle?
