General Comments

Zurich provide liability insurance for my local council. My mother in law aged 80 had a fall due to misaligned pavement, fractured her shoulder, bruised her face, and broke her glasses. Although 80, she refused to be termed "old" and just wanted someone else to admit that the fall was not her fault. I submitted a claim that this company mishandled very badly, saying that they had 3 months to reach a decision after receiving a report from the council, when in fact I discovered that under the terms of the protocol covering this type of claim they should have given a decision within a total period of 3 months. Despite the pavement being in excess of 2 inches out of alignment (a requirement) they refused the claim in October, 5 months later than allowed. Mum died the same month precluding us from suing on a no-win-no-fee basis as her testimony would have been required. My family and I will never use the services of the horrible company.
