Good Points

Easy to set up and maintain.


Bad Points

Customer service could be better and it would seem that disk usage can increase without adding any data. Whether or not this is a deliberate ploy to get customers to upgrade remains to be seen. Could be ethically questionable but this might also be a genuine technical glitch.


General Comments

Generally I've been happy with freezone. It was easy to set up and has been easy to maintain.

Recently, however, I had an email notifying me that my disk usage has increased to over my 500MB limit and advising me to upgrade my account. I was somewhat mystified as I hadn't updated the site for months and no new files had been added.

I had lots of dormant files in the directory that could be deleted without affecting the site and I deleted these. Result? Disk usage went UP from 503MB to 506MB!!

I then deleted over 200MB of data and emptied my mailbox. Disk usage remains at 506MB!

I have asked for an explanation so watch this space.
