A disappointing experience dealing with Laptops Direct and much frustration & hassle trying to get all of my money back. More than 1 month later I have still not been refunded in full and have raised a dispute against them through my credit card provider.

They could not keep to the agreed delivery date and the sale had to be cancelled because their alternative delivery date was not acceptable. At that point they told me I would get a full refund. 5 days later, their courier telephoned to confirm delivery and I had to tell them that the sale had been cancelled the previous week.

Then, without informing me, Buyitdirect deducted £138.49 from the refund as a charge for goods or packaging being returned damaged. When I explained that there had been no delivery I was told that the full amount would be refunded - but 7 days later they only refunded £107.01 " £31.38 short.

When this was amount was queried, I was told that I should not have been advised that I would get a full refund -''there was only to be a part refund for delivery ' . Why not? What delivery?

I complained to their Customer Service and was told that the shortfall had actually been caused by a problem with their IT system and that the refund would be attended to that day, however, a week later I have still not been refunded the full amount and after another complaint it has been confirmed that no action was taken.
