Good Points

They are fair. They pay up if you can answer all their questions. They do most correspondence on the internet which is convenient.


Bad Points

None really. We did have a hiccup with the cash claim but got there in the end.


General Comments

Insure and Go like all insurance companies need to be diligent and exact in the information and proof given to them when you make a claim. Unfortunately there are so many people trying to fiddle that it makes it more difficult for honest people to make their claim. We were robbed whilst on holiday in Malaga, Spain. We had to give a detailed description of what happened along with a police report, all receipts of goods stolen, proof of money obtained after the robbery (all our money was stolen). They will ask searching questions to make sure you are not trying to fiddle them, and who can blame them. If you take out holiday insurance, please make sure you keep all your receipts for all your valuables and clothing that you take with you. This would include envelopes which had your money in when you exchanged into foreign currency. Always take a copy of your passport and driving licence if you're hiring a car. Take copies of your flight details or any other bookings you have. Keep the copies separate from the originals. If you have your car and house keys with you, be extra diligent. We had both sets of car keys stolen and our house key. It caused all sorts of trouble when we returned. We had to get the car towed to a garage and then pay hundreds of pounds to get new keys electronically matched to our car. Remember, most insurance companies will not insure car keys which are classed as car accessories. If you go to the Med. particularly Spain, be careful of "helpful" strangers, they are more likely after your goods and they are VERY clever. If you are completely honest and careful and if you can prove that your were not negligent with your goods, ie leaving them unattended or in an unattended car, then this company will be fair with you. Insure and Go wanted every scrap of information they could glean to make sure they were paying out for an honest claim. We were honest and they were fair. BE HONEST, BE DILIGENT, BE CAREFUL AND THIS COMPANY INSURE AND GO WILL BE FAIR WITH YOUR CLAIM. READ THEIR INFORMATION BOOKLET FROM COVER TO COVER SO YOU KNOW WHAT IS INSURED AND WHAT IS NOT. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE COPIES OF ALL YOUR RECEIPTS AND INVOICES IF YOU MAKE A CLAIM AND ALWAYS SEND YOUR CLAIM BY RECORDED DELIVERY.
