General Comments

i have never come across such a bad service ever!
my 77 year old mum ordered a bed and mattress and paid up front for everything, including transport and for the bed to be put together. he even gave her a plastic bag to put her old mattress in and she paid extra for the mattress to be taken away when the bed was to be delivered.

the sales man said that the item was in stock and to be delivered in a weeks time.
wednesday - delivery date - nobody turned up. they did not ring her and she had to phone the next day to find out that they were not going to deliver because the item was in another warehouse (something stupid along those lines!)
- send date was a friday (another week later). dreams did not turn up and she contacted the head office, high wycombe, and they told her that the beds were from pakistan (unbelievable!) and the delivery was delayed. dreams went on to tell her that they will be in by the following friday and delivered to her monday next.

- monday, dreams did not deliver the bed, yet again,
in the meantime, their sales pitch and the dreams websites showed the bed was in stock and delivery was next day!

my mother had to wait for a month and still nothing.
we took her to the branch where the totally useless 'salesman' could not give her money back. strange! they have the facilities to take the money off their customers on a sunday from that branch and yet they could not pay her back!

the dreams salesman went on to say that the head office was not opened on a sunday and it was only the head office that could return this money.
unbelievable! this is a bed and not a kitchen unit, so why he could not refund it was atrocious.
the dreams salesman said that she would have to ring them monday.

i stopped him in his tracks and said that the phone calls my mum had to make to find out what was going on, was costing her a lot of money.
if they have not got the goods then it is up to them to refund from the branch she bought it from like you would from any other shop!

this complaint will be going straight to watchdog and the trading standards.
dreams just wanted her money and could not care less about her bed.

their ridiculous website quote:
"we understand how important a good night's sleep is. that's why we don't hang around when it comes to your delivery. we aim to get your bed to you as soon as possible. if your dream bed is in stock and you order before noon we can even deliver it to you the very same day (in store only). we like to make everything about your delivery service as easy and quick as possible."
the bed was in stock and still is but they will not deliver.
