General Comments

Lots of bad reviews here of the LG LDS5811, and justifiably so. I purchased the LDS5811 on 12/26/2005. Today (4/18/2009) it started leaking heavily from the door gasket......my Best Buy warranty expired 4 months ago......Darn. After reading all the various web postings on the unit, i decided to look at the dryer gasket, yup that has failed too, just waiting for it to begin leaking too. My expectation for a $900 appliance is that it will last 10 years minimum, realistically, I'd like to see 15years. Despite being loaded with attractive features, I will refrain from purchasing any LG appliances, as I'm sure they have fundamental design problems across the board.
