I have used quite a few different types of music download sites/software and Spotify is quite different. Unlike limewire, ares and the download sites like them, Spotify streams the music to play on the software media player, rather than download to your computer so you can play it with iTunes or WMP.
At first I was quite annoyed about this as I typed in to search for some DJ's and found that their database is bigger than any other site I have personally used before. By that I mean I searched for Dirty South (one DJ) and got a lot more songs and mixes than I have ever before.
You then just select a song and listen to it....
Simple!
Therefore as long as you don't mind not actually having the song and just listening to it on the spotify media player then its absolutely perfectly brilliant for what it does. I have come to really like Spotify.com and dont even bother trying to get as much music as I can on iTunes because its all on Spotify!
Would well recommend www.spotify.com for your music downloads. But, as I said, you might have to be willing to give up itunes and wmv!
