Good Points

Everyone seems to like the look of this car. V6 sounds excellent and goes great too (if a little lacking in torque at the bottom end) - handling is very good for a car this size. Service costs reasonable compared to the old Probe. Low insurance for a V6 too.

Bad Points

Serious thirst - you can get 30+mpg if you drive it like a hearse, but thats not what a Cougar V6 is for is it. No protection on the bodywork leaves you at risk from other peoples careless door opening - I find parking defensively at the bottom of supermarket car parks etc. Tyres are a very odd size which makes them very expensive (though cost can be reduced by shopping around on the web).

General Comments

The Ford Cougar 24v X is a nice fast fun car with room for 4 (just make sure the guys in the back duck whenever you close the boot).

As for replacement tyre costs you can get v rated tyres capable and tested to 150 mph for under 70 and as the car is limited to 155 mph i'm sure you appreciate it's a good saving on a usual £200+ tyre just ask your local tyre dealer to check it out for you ... ps great motor I love it
