Kept waiting far too long, no apology from staff. Unfriendly/rude staff in restaurant.

General Comments
We waited for an hour to go into the Shepherd and Dog restaurant and were just about to walk out when our names were called saying our table was ready. We were greeted by a lady in the restaurant, who showed us to a poorly positioned table and said the waitress would be with us soon. More time elapsed, my husband was getting more and more irate so we dedided to walk out of the restaurant! We will definitely NOT be going back I like to be treated as an individual and I felt I was on some kind of conveyor belt in this pub..In this economic climate I would rather support small friendlier establishments.
