Good Points
Good fast train links to Waterloo

Bad Points
Badly over crowded at peak times

General Comments
Surbiton train station is housed in a beautiful 1930's art deco style building which is a real centre piece of the small town. Machines have now been introduced which has helped to reduce congestion at peak times but considering the amount of commuters that now use this station, the alloacted windows should always be manned at peak times and they are not. At times the line of people coming out of the station waiting to purchase tickets is crazy. Generally the station is well kept although could do with a lick of new paint platform side to just smarten it up a little. It's a shame there is not one more exit from the platforms to the outside as at peak times the exit area is extremely crowded and people who are actually trying to get onto a platform to catch a train face an uphill struggle to get there in time against the flow of traffic.
