    Once you've worked out how to use twitter it becomes quite addictive. It's a bit like text messaging in that you only have a limited number of characters - 140 in total. To use twitter you have to be very concise in what you want to say, the more entertaining your twitter is the more likely it is that you will get followers.

    Being a bit of a celebrity voyeur the great thing about twitter is that you can follow celebs that twitter to! Stephen Fry is probably one of the longest serving amongst the twitterati is is the most amusing on twitter.

    Oh I forgot to mention that you can create a mini profile on twitter too. For those of you with an iphone there are third party iphone twitter applications which work really well (better than using twitters own).

    The only bad point I can think of is the fact that twitter can end up taking over your life...I only do things now if I know it will generate a mildly amusing tweet!
