The 90% mortgage range is practically non-existent


General Comments

I was really excited to hear about HSBC's 90% mortgage range for shared ownership properties as I had already been in once and they told me I needed an 25% deposit which I did not have access to at the time.

When this product I was released, I went into the branch to apply for this mortgage, only to find out I still needed a 25% because my property was a new build! This product will only be available to a handful of people, even though its supposed to help the first time buyer, it does EXACTLY the opposite.
