Good Points

The staff were friendly and helpful enough. The room and apartment were perfectly fine, we got what we paid for, this was never a 5 star holiday. Lots to do on site too many to list bit have a good walk around at different times of the day. Alcudia itself quiet, but we were out of season. bars opened daily almost but there was still a lot shut. If you have weather on your side good for basic sun and sea holiday. All in all not as bad as the some reviews would have you beleive. But this could easily change as the place gets busier.

Bad Points

Yummys and the Bejing Duck. I wouldn't want to go to Alcudia in season. I think it would be noisy, dirty and full of drunk brits. The Bellevue seemed busy already so heaven only knows what its like in full season. I wouldn't want to be all inclusive at this hotel. The queues looked big and the client le in the best part looking to get the most out of there booze on tap.

General Comments

We had booked our holiday at Belle Vue Apartments through Aldi travel, we stayed one week in a two bed apartment, self catering. Our group consisted of 2 adults and 3 children 7,5 and 3. We were expecting the worst based on reviews. So when we arrived(at 11ish) and the room was not ready (not until 2 ish we should have been told by our travel advisor they said), I felt that I could take it in my stride. I was saving myself for the really bad stuff that might happen. We put our luggage in the holding room and explored the site which is massive. We returned to reception at 1 as they said they might have something for us by 12.30. Our room was still not ready, we were supposed to have been in diane1 on ground floor, we were offered a 9th floor room in a different block and 5th floor, or wait for the other room. As being at a high level didn't' bother us we asked a member of staff which room she would choose and took her advice. We were given Minerva1 room512. A member of staff let us in to get our luggage and seeing that we had a lot to contend with got a trolley for us and took most of our bags to the lift. So on arrival to our room it appeared clean enough however smelt of smoke. I was expecting a partition for the 5th bed but it wasn't there instead it was a pull out bed form the sofa. But this worked well for us cos we moved it into the 2nd bed room with the 2 singles, leaving our 3 children in one room we had the other and the living space remained that. The kitchen was basically equipped, toaster, microwave and two plate hob. No oven or electric kettle. The room was 'cleaned' three times. We had one of the larger balconies. Being early April the weather was not on our side and it was cloudy but dry for most of our stay (last 2 days we saw sun). So at night the apartment got cool. We asked at reception for extra blankets at were given them immediately to back ourselves, which for us was not a problem. We did see people with radiators which I think cost around 40 euros to rent. We discovered the kids club which was good given the weather not on our side. It was free unless the were doing a paid for activity ours did the pony riding. The kids club was ok and the reps worked really long days, they could be seen at the mini disco in the evenings too. The mini disco and bingo not fab but the ids loved it but it didn't finish until 10pm which is a bit late, for mine at least. So we didn't see the adult entertainment cos it didn't start until after that. We only went once to see what it was like, very busy. Like I say it was OK. 3.30 euro a pint. There are other thing through the day going on but you kinda have to go looking. We went mainly off sight in the day. I would recommend hiring a bike. We went into the port and the old town (we hired a car) also nice trips. And Roma was a nice Italian on the way to beach. Luna's is a friendly bar too a play area at the back. The Bejing Duck is the worst Chinese I have ever eaten. The food in the restaurants at the bellevue I think may have gone for quantity over quality, but was ok.The beaches were beautiful, the pools busy, some busier than others (the ones with the all-inclusive areas particularly). We had no mossie problems either maybe too cool still.
