Bad Points

Cost and service are both very, very bad. Very nice before you sign the contract - but watch out after.


General Comments

We invited Connells Wednesbury into our home to value the property and were initially impressed. They offered everything we wanted (specifically floorplans, lots of photos, etc) and had a nice glossy brochure. Price quoted was £2500 which we thought was very expensive to sell a flat? Would not budge on the price or charge a percentage of the sale fee although this was an option on the contract? They are the most common around this area so we went with them. They took very shoddy photos, wrote only three-quarters of one side of A4 paper for the particulars description, and after we had signed the contract said that they didn't even offer floorplans and that we must be 'mistaken'. We actually sent in dozens of photos which they repeatedly 'lost', 'couldn't open' or some other excuse to try and jazz up the particulars; i even re-wrote themmyself and sent them in. Unsurprsingly we didn't have a single viewing, a couple of phone calls (initiated by us) and so as soon as the contract was up we got the hell out of there! We have since written to Head Office but they are all in it together so my advice would be to AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
