General Comments

Insure and Go - (yeah and don't come back) - Don't worry I won't

I will be flying at least 6 times this year with business. Everytime in the past I have insured myself with Insure and Go for my business travel insurance and each time I fly for personal travel I insure myself with Journeywise. I claimed once with Journeywise having used them for the last 10 years. The one time I claimed for a delayed flight they paid to cover my expenses without any questions asked.

I recently had my purse stolen on a flight over to barcelona on business it was stolen out of my bag which was nearby in overhead compartment I had a lot of money in the purse so therefore had no option but to try and recover it. Insure and go classed this as not with me, which understandably I can see from their POV but they decided to tell me my claim had been rejected after initially advising me to go and make a police report, then get a signature from the airport authorities in barcelona, then try and claim off household insurance, then send proof I was on the flight, then send written confirmation that I had never claimed before - the list was endless!! Only to tell me they weren't paying up. Dreadful absolutely dreadful. I will now use another company for insurance and read the T&C's very well indeed.

I used to work in insurance so I know that most will come up with every avenue possible not to send you claim money, the trouble is the ones flouting the system usually benefit and the innocent one's lose out. This time around Insure & Go have lost out. My 6 trips a year add up to a healthy turnover when it comes to buying insurance perhaps they should think about that in future.
