Very welcoming staff.
Photographer made you feel at ease.
Lovely photos.
Nice makeover.
Bad Points
VERY expensive photos but I think you could definitely haggle a bit of a bargain if you made it clear you couldn't afford to buy.
Long wait for photos. We didn't receive them til 6 weeks later - it's only a CD with 10 photos on, how long can that take to make and post out?!? Especially for the money you pay.
General Comments
Our fun day at Double Take Manchester. We arrived and were seated in leather couches where we could help ourselves to coffee, canned drinks and nibbles like crisps and mini chocolate bars. We were given a form to fill in about our hair and make-up and what style of photography we wanted. Then we waited for 30-40 mins and were taken to have our hair aznd make-up done. They said you get a facial and a hand massage but to be honest all they did was rub some cream in. Still, the hair and make-up was very nice, very professional. The make-up is a bit daunting at first cos they have to slap it on so it shows in the photos but looks lovely in photos. Then we were sitting around for another 20 mins until our photographers arrived. They took us to the changing rooms and asked us what we planned to wear (we were allowed 3 outfits) and then took us off for photos in different settings according to our outfits. After the photos being taken we were taken upstairs and waited 45 mins (where we were given the option to suggest friends for the experience - the more names you put down, the more discount you get off your photos) whilst they put our 'montage' together. We were then taken into a private room with big screen and left alone to look at the photos. Then the saleswoman came back and showed a selection of payment options. We never felt pressured to buy photos but we bought some anyway. We had put down 45 friends' names so got a £600 package for £400. Very expensive photos but they have to make their money somewhere!! A lot of people have complained of being ripped off by these people but to be honest I think they just didn't read the small print about the cancellation fee. A very fun experience though pricey for photos.
