General Comments

I took an offer out with One Stop Phone Shop' in june last year due to the very tempting cashback offer and me being very naive.
the offer was for a 12 month contract on orange with a free phone and if i sent my bills in after 6,8,10 and 12 months they would send me a cheque for £90 each time. the total cashback would equal £360 and so effectively i would get my whole year line rental free.
delivery was efficient and next day, that is a good point.
when i got the phone i started to read very bad reviews of this company. to be fair i should have done my research first. everything i read gave conflicting information on how you claim the cashback, which bills to send etc.
when i got the phone and after reading all this negative info, i rang them up to cancel but was again very gullible to believe a nice gentleman who said the cashback rules had recently changed and been simplified, it was now very easy to claim the cashback.
i explained i had already received 3 bits of conflicting information on which bills i needed to send in and could he please email me the definitive answer. he said he would do so. he did email me but again it was vague info and left me none the wiser. why i didn't cancel then i dont know.

so after 6 months i did everything i understood that i needed to do. i had ported my number across from another network so i included my first bill as it stated and i sent my bill off in the month specified, november. i photocopied my bills before sending, sent special delivery with consequential insurance etc.
they wrote back a week or so later. saying i had sent the wrong bills in both times.
i could elaborate further but feel this review is getting long enough and im sure you get the idea.

i consider myself to be above average intelligence but the information they provide regarding the cashback is deliberately misleading. of course this has to be the case, as if everyone was successful in claiming the cashback they would be bankrupt in no time at all.

if i had the energy and stamina to fight them i would have threatened to sue them and got my money back this way. from what i have read online this is the only way to make them pay up and they know they would lose if it ever went to court.

i just take it as a lesson learned and will not touch them with a bargepole ever again. if reviews like this help to put a nail in their coffin along with e2save then im all for it.
