Bad Points

On a balance transfer of £3500 the first month they take around £90 and then drop it to £25 a month by direct debit hence you will hardly pay anything off a balance transfer and need to put money away so you wont be stung by them at the end of your promotional period.


General Comments

I paid my Virgin Credit Card balance off early so on a zero balance was still charged £12 for cancelling my direct debit .
I paid the £12 to a member of staff over the phone via my debit card, he told me he would close down the account and there would be no more charges to pay.
Low and behold this morning another statement arrived with a balance of £13.52 interest charge.I believe this will be interest on the £12 however it totally contradicts one of their terms which dictates that they are not allowed to charge interest on default sums for the first 28 days.There has been no explanation of the charge of the confirmation of me cancelling the card as I was promised.The account still appears to be open.I intend talking to the financial ombudsman after the easter holidays and claiming my money back.
