General Comments

It would be good to be able to score a complete review, however, as my 12 year old son, 27 classmates and 2 teachers were thrown off a flight just prior to take-off, that would be impossible! The flight had already been delayed twice. Everyone was settled on board and doing up their seatbelts and the flight attendents had started the safety talks. It would appear that at that stage a final headcount was done and the flight attendent realised that there were not enough staff for the number of children in the group.Question 1: why was the error only discovered at that late stage? The party and their luggage had already been checked onto the plane. The 28 children and 2 staff were travelling on a Group Passport and needed one more member of staff. As luck would have it, another teacher from the same school was travelling on the same flight (on her own holiday and with her own passport) and was sitting just two rows in front. Problem solved you would think, the 3rd teacher was more than happy to fill the breach and supervise the children. But no! Because she was not on the group passport, the Easy jet staff refused to accept this simple solution. The teacher leading the school party even went to speak to the pilots but they refused to fly the party. All 28 children and 2 staff were removed from the flight and a very expensive holiday is now completely lost. I CANNOT believe that Easy Jet staff are so incapable of "joined up" thinking. My son is devastated - he had been looking forward to and had been planning the trip for the last 8 months and had been doing little jobs to earn spending money for the holiday. I cannot begin to describe how I feel, but anger rates very highly and I am sure other children and parents from the fated journey feel the same way. What happened to common sense? I will NEVER fly with Easy Jet and I feel certain that all their bad publicity and reviews is well deserved!
