Absolutely non that I can identify


Bad Points

They fail to deliver products purchased
They dont provide tracking system despite claims
Can't contact them other than by expensive 0844 number
If you need to take time off for delivery they become prohibitive


General Comments

2nd April - My partner said she would like a 'glider chair' for the garden. I suggested that best to get it now and use it rather than wait for our summer when a brolly would be more use!

I am a loyal Scouser who prefers to patronise my local businesses. Littlewoodsdirect (HQ 2 miles from my home!) promised the chair for £83 with delivery by 7th April and system to track delivery. I took 7th off work ... no delivery. Examined 'Tacker' system - it is a basic table that indicates 'Item despatched' with no futher info. Considered contacting them - not easy! no email contact what ever and only phone number is 0844 which is pricey from a mobile.

I took 8th off work ... still no show. Decided to bite the bullet of 0844 number. I asked where is the tracking system? it had been despatched from supplier so no tracking system! I considered asking 'is supplier based on the moon?' but thought better. Call centre worker was distinctly unsympathetic that I had lost 2 days work and said he would get someone to call me.

9th April still off work ... no call from Littlewoodsdirect and still no 'glider chair'. Decided to call complaints (another 0844 number) and waited 14 minutes to speak to human who then told me she couldn't/wouldn't (I can't remember which) speak to me as the account is in my partner's name. I told her to make a note on the file that I would not accept delivery of any item from Littlewoods ever.

Here endeth the moral - "It would have been cheaper and quicker to jump in the car and pay £150 from a local garden centre"
