Overall Rating
- Telephone Banking

- Local Branch

- Customer Service

- Internet Banking

- Cash Point Facility

Staff at the banking call centre - but not sales and marketing people - those I deal with on banking matters.
Bad Points
Lack of self regulation on no direct sales or marketing
Ignore customer request for no direct sales or marketing - despite haveing their own form for this fully backed up in a compter system
Do not comply with TPS - they had and probably still have my number in their automated dialling system
Could be lazy cashiers - I catch them every time *sigh* they dont seem to know what to do about it other than "talk to " their staff - which hasnt worked in my case - they repeatedly break this "rule" for no direct sales/marketing The standard of trainign could be at fault but it isnt improving over time
General Comments
Dreadful on selling products when you haev asked them not to do so.
I filled out their form which asks them NOT to contact me with information about products, by mail, by phone or in branch. Apart from by mail it doesnt work. Whenever I go into the branch I have to point out to cashiers that on their screen is a note saying not to approach me with any sales pitch or products: I've complained five times -- a promise to get back to me the next day havent been met with the latest complaint. I am awaiting a response from their head office now
My phone number was put into their automated dialling system too - it is TPS registered and should not therefore be used in any automatred dialling system - I am awaiting their response on this but have also complained to TPS because the Cooperative bank doesnt seem keen to self regualte on that one.
today when I called I was addressed as "love" by the member of staff answering the telephone. Pretty third rate which is a shame - their telephone banking is good and the call centre also good - apart from non comliance with TPS regulations of course. Maybe they are getting too big for their boots - this has been a recent and worsening trend over the last 6 months.
