Inefficient, unhelpful customer service, ridiculous policy, expensive, useless.


General Comments

My wife lost her phone and quite sensibly, to avoid a claim process spent time looking for it before deciding it was lost and putting in a claim with Carphone Warehouse Mobile Phone Insurance. At the moment we are in the midst of various letters and emails back and forth as they say she is not covered because she spent too much time looking for the phone before claiming. This has has been going on for weeks as a result of Carphone Warehouse's inefficient and very poor customer service. The other ground for refusing the claim is that we don't have a crime reference. When we rang the police to inform them of the LOST (not stolen) phone, they were understandably not the least interested and said that they were going to start actions to prevent insurance companies wasting their time in this way. I completely agree. By comparison, T-mobile had no problems with it and sent a replacement sim card the next day. When I had Orange insurance on my last phones, they were both helpful, efficient, used common sense and were cheaper. This insurance is appallingly bad. .
