We got a T-reg model of the Volkswagon Golf 1.6 SE recently and it had clocked 80k on the meter. Apart from the shift between 1st and 2nd gears being a little stiff it run very smoothly for other cars of that age still on the road. It handles like a dream, is very comfortable at pace and has plenty of space for a small family. I'd love to say the size of it makes it a great city car but seeing as i used up all my driving skills before i go to 'parking' i try to stick to the car parks but my sister assures me it is fine.
