Good Points

It is a lighter design (as is the model C) than the model B. I really cannot tell much of a difference between the C and D other than the handle. It is a fantastic exercise, albeit it can be boring which you can control by varying the type of workouts, listening to music, or watching TV. These rowers last forever. I regret getting rid of my model B but I am not sure how much sense it makes to own two rowing machines.

Bad Points

The model B had a definite higher resistance which I miss from time to time. However, I am getting older and some times I am glad I am not fighting a model B type load. These are not cheap and even used Concept 2's fetch a decent price. These are not necessarily bad points but things to consider. I still love my rower.

General Comments

I bought my first Concept 2 in 1987. It was a model B and kept that until 2003 when I bought my model D. In regards to the Concept 2 rowers, there is really nothing out there that I have hopped on that approaches the quality of work out and equipment. The last time I had my blood pressure checked it was 110/60 and I attribute that in large part to consistent erg training.
