4th Apr 2009
Overall Rating
- Value for money

- Length of ownership3 years
- Reliability

- Year Manufactured2006
- Build quality

Engine, power everywhere, fueling seems perfect. Intake snarle never had a bike where the intake noise makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Compliant suspension....never ever gets outashape. Comfort for sports bike. Brakes..powerful but sensitive on low application.
Bad Points
It has to be said paint finish not up to Honda but then again no one ever gets a chance to check it out at the speeds this tool moves at.
General Comments
Having ridden sports for in my collection for 30 years I was lucky enough to move to the Isle of Man where it is possible to use the performance of todays sports bikes. You notice on the TT course which bikes can cut it. I decided I was pushing my current ride too hard and a true sportster was needed, I tried all the top bikes in one day and for me the Suzuki GSXR 1000 was the tool. Forgiving plush ride yet totally unflapable and that engines punch is incredible. It will pull yards out of any bike on roll on, ok a twin has the bottom end well heres the news the GIXER matches them! And as for the top end thats there too. The TT is a true road, bumps, camber, overbanding, The GIXER takes it all. Dont fit a pipe fit a Yam R1 throttle tube get that throttle WIDE open and listen to that intake roar. Try a K5 or K6.

Insurance
So, if a driver with the $5,000 minimum totals out your $15,000 bike, his insurance company will pay you only $5,000. How will you get the other $10,000?
