Good Points

Stylish, girly, glamorous, summery, the case and box are gorgeous too!


Bad Points

There seems to be lots of imitation and counterfeit sunglasses in this style, which also annoyingly leads to people asking me if mine are real or not!


General Comments

I was given the Chanel 4017 sunglasses (with the pink lenses) for my 21st birthday about 4 years ago when they first came out and I still wear them to this day. They are the nicest sunglasses I have ever owned and even though I've bought other designer sunglasses since then I always go back to wearing these even though they are probably way out of fashion now! They were about £195 when I got them but you can get them cheaper now as they are discontinued.

Regardless of their colour they do go with almost everything and the little chanel diamonte logos on each side are so cute and glamorous, I felt like a million dollars walking round New York in them on holiday! I am quite clumsy though so they have lasted longer than expected, I don't take them to the beach or anything like that so as not to break them or scratch the lenses. A friend of mine had the same pair of glasses and managed to break them quite quickly but in my opinion they are surprisingly really sturdy and well made, despite them looking quite thin and fragile. I think this is sometimes rare for some designer glasses which can focus on fashion rather than quality.

In addition to the style of them, the detail on them is also fantastic. The Chanel logos on the nose rests and the tips of each arm, the Chanel name imprinted across the nose bridge. Even though others can't see this when you're wearing them, I feel this detail makes them even more classy and special.

The box, case and cleaning cloth are all lovely too although I agree with the other reviewer who said the case is a little snug, you do have to close it carefully so as not to squash the sunglasses!

Even though they were bought for me, I still don't think that £195 is too expensive for these as you get what you pay for in this case. Glamour, class, sparkle... oh and they're 100% UV resistant too!
