General Comments

I opened an account with CMC spread betting recently. Yesterday I thought I would give it a go. I was doing OK by shorting FTSE100 since I thought the market would go down to 3500 again soon. I didn't place a stop loss. This afternoon I was surprised to learn that my position was stopped out just before the market turned around to go down from about 4000. I didn't receive margin calls or anything like that. I still had money to cover my postion as well as the margin required. I would have made a few hundred pounds without the stupid liquidation. Instead I lost £100. I am going to close my account tomorrow. Hopefully I can get back the rest of my money I put in my CMC account.
