Trying to squeeze every penny out of passengers.


General Comments

On a Jet2.com flight from LBA to Barcelona on 19th March 2009 I had one piece of hand luggage and was instructed to place it in the grid at check in, it did not fit, upon which I was asked to pay £55.00 each way for this bag. I did not pay and left check in looking to buy a smaller bag to put my contents in. Passing through security my hand luggage dropped inside the grid with no problem, so I decided to proceed to the gate. The grid at the gate was also larger and my bag dropped in this one also. I can only conclude that the grid at check in is purposely smaller to attract a large excess from passengers which is very naughty of jet 2 and has put us off them.
