Good Points

There are too many good things to list if i'm honest, a couple of good things are the price obviously, you can pick a good conditioned coupe up now for little over £1500 which considering what you get is outstanding. The perfomance is the second thing, i've been and driven most of the different engine sized coupes now and i can freely admit the power is excellent especially in the VVC and turbo, the 2.0 16v isn't a dissapointment either. Build quality was better in the later models and look out for the "bubble" dash.
The tinted Targa Top roof was a novelity, great for sunny days, the coupe also offers supportive bucket style seats with deep rear seats to match and comfy head restraints, the half black leather is the nicest of the interiors. There is alot more good things i could say about the coupe but they best way of finding out is going for a test drive and find out for yourself.

Bad Points

As with all car's of this age there are a few minor drawbacks that needn't get your knickers in a twist. Earlier models (93-95) suffered from minor rust on the arches and bootlid around the spoiler (higher models) and sometimes around the rear wings but nothing worth worrying about.
Also with mainly the older models affected there was a chance of electrical failuers in the windows and mirrors but again an easy fix.
Be careful when looking to buy that it doesn't have different shades of colour on the panels as this could indicate it's been in a crash previously, also look out for thrashed models, the D , K and T series engines do make a tapetty noise on fire up but should go away after a few seconds, if it doesn't, the owner may have neglected oil changes and service parts.. walk away. Generally it's a safe buy aslong as you know what your looking for, keep away from "modified" examples as they portray they've been driven hard. Happy searching hope this helped.

General Comments

This Rover L.S 200 Coupeis a working class hero, it offers up superb perfomance even in it's small 1.6 16v unit which can embarrass much bigger engined cars.
The handling was good although in early models especially the turbo even with a torsen slip-diff it was a handfull with it's aggressive torque steer, but that's expected of a car of this nature.
If you are looking to purchase one theses coupes as i've owned a few myself i highly recommend it as they offer trouble free motoring and a trully wonderful coupe for the weekend. VVC is pick of the bunch, all the performance without the drawbacks.
