The Kingston Rose Theatre is barely a year old. It's unusual in that it is set 'in a round'.

First impressions when walking in to the lobby is that it is a modern and contemporary space. The abundance of concrete just reinforces this. The cafe / bar is a welcoming place with plenty of artwork on the walls some of it you can buy.

The theatre itself is smaller than you might think and it's surprising it took so long to build as it isn't that elaborate. It's set in a round and you share benches between two people. If you bring a cushion you can sit just in front of the stage. The stage itself is low enough so you are not straining your neck.

The Rose Theatre has a good programme but I fear that due to funding issues it might not be open for long. Good luck.
