A truly awful experience with Laptops Direct from start to finish. After a live chat session on their website I ordered the latop and docking station they recommended and paid extra for Saturday delivery. Then it all went pear-shaped:

1. Didn't arrive Saturday, when we called the customers service person was rude, didn't even apologise and said "it'll probably arrive on Monday, claim it back"
2. When it did arrive laptop wasn't compatible with the docking station. We took the laptop carefully out of the box opened it once (didn't even power it up) and then re-packaged it.
3. Took 3 phonecalls dealing with rude returns department to arrange for LaptopsDirect to pay for the return carriage as it was their fault wrong laptop was sent.
4. Then nothing, until I phoned to chase refund 2 weeks later to be told firstly that the laptop was damaged "the lid is all scratched", then when I asked if I could be sent photographic proof of the damaged they back-tracked furiously and said I hadn't re-packaged it properly etc. etc.

Have now phoned several more times, and written to customer services and Complaints Dept and had no response.

In short: Worst customer service I've ever experience, but very experienced in palming off unhappy customers and keeping thier cash. Have subsequently ordered a laptop from Sony and had to return the docking station and they could teach LaptopsDirect how customers should be dealt with. More expensive but worth every penny.
