I would recommend any one to read The Language Heretic's Super Crash Course in Spanish( even advanced speakers. I lived in spain for 4 years 2000 - 2004 and done an intensive spanish course in Benalmadena, I first came across this book on holiday in Costa Rica at my friends house recently, March 2009 and started to read it and the reason why that I rate this book highly is because of this; my spanish teacher always explained to us that the most important thing in any language is quite simply "communication" and this book just confirmed what I had already had learnt, the art of communication, if you are a beginner and you read this book you will understand and think in the language.
