Bad Points
Changes over the last 4 years have been for the worse. Staff in branch and at call centres are ill-informed.
General Comments
I have banked with Abbey for over 12 years and seriously disappointed how their service has deteriorated recently. Abbey's internet banking is inflexible -you now have no choice but to have your business accounts linked to your personal banking, and cannot be issued with separate passwords etc. My business accounts suddenly appeared on my personal banking page WITHOUT NOTICE.
As one of my business accounts is for a Club's finances, I wanted this kept separate. No chance. On trying to sort it out their call centre staff removed the wrong accounts (three times) added a business account twice so it was a real mess - and then de-registered me from internet access altogether. I now will have to move the Club account and seriously thinking about moving the rest as I have no confidence in any of Abbey's bank staff now.
Trouble is all banks seem to be much the same...
