Good Points

Nice, relaxing decor of what looks like newly refurbished 767. Good price.


Bad Points

Worn seats in A321, very bad lounge in FCO which feels like waiting room in a hospital. Like other reviewers I noticed that the check-in counter staff never smiles.


General Comments

After reading all these negative reviews I was rather apprehensive about flying Alitalia, but my recent flights YYZ-FCO-CAI (return) in business were very nice. The first plane (YYZ-FCO) had new lie-flat seats, the decor both in economy and business was pleasant oyster gray, the food was OK, although nothing special. FCO-CAI seats were old, worn and uncomfortable and food definitely not business quality. Having been warned about the baggage problems I only took carry-on bags. Three out of four flights arrived on time or early. So overall I was pleasantly surprised.
