We booked a Tailor made holiday in January this year, choosing The Mango Bay Barbados and upgraded seats. Paid in full at the end of February. The holiday was cancelled by the tour operater 2weeks ago, the excuse being the hotel was overbooked. this meant they had vacancies in January, took our money in February but didn't reserve a room. An email to the hotel reveals that it is not overbooking, Thomsons out sourced our booking to Thomas Cook and they had a 'rate difference' with the hotel! I feel sorry for the staff in the travel shop they have to deal with this serious upset. Thomsons showed total contempt fot its customers.
