I have held an annual travel insurance policy with Norwich Union for several years now. It expired in Feb 2009 but I never received a renewal letter. I didn't realise this until the middle of March. When I phoned I was told there had been a computer error when they transferred policies and they would send out a new letter. I hadn't received anything after 2 weeks so called again and was told that I would have to take out a new policy. It was only after much protest that they agreed to give it to me at the original renewal price. They couldn't seem to explain why no action had been taken when they realised there had been a technical error or when I called the first time. When I finally got to talk to a member of staff he sorted out the matter and apologised. It did not instil me with much confidence in the company.
