Good Points

Food excellent and services excellent on the Coral Islands and Caribbean gems cruise. Entertainment excellent.

All public areas looked clean and the ship insist on hand sanitising for their restaurants. However, you still see people dodging the rules and not doing this in the Lido Restaurant and not covering their bodies up when going in there.


Bad Points

Cabins are a little small but don't be put off by that, you hardly spend any time in them and soon get used to the reduced space. There was plenty of hanging space in our wardrobes.

Very trivial but the onboard shop stocked a poor supply of sun cream, there was only factor 2 sun oil available. In this day and age with people more cautious in the sun you would have expected a higher factor range.

Although Dominica was a pretty island the port we docked in (Portsmouth) was disappointing and there was literally nothing there, so would not recommend that.


General Comments

This was our first cruise on Thomson Destiny's Coral Islands and Caribbean gems cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We travelled round the Carribean on the Destiny for two week 22/02/09 - 8/03/09.

The ship is old as people have stated but they have attempted to modernise areas of it. We have nothing to compare it to and thought the whole ambiance was great.

The Restaurant food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for you, which makes such a difference. Service with a smile continually.

Entertainment was fantastic, it was like visiting a west end show every night, there's so much effort and professionalism within the entertainment teams.

We really enjoyed the whole itinerary and the Islands we visited.
