I took out a travel insurance policy with tesco earlier in the year, which covered delayed baggage.
I flew with Ryanair to germany, and , my bag was delayed. The bag was then found and I received it 36hours later, 12 hours after the required time for a small £100 compensation payment from my insurance policy [not enough to resupply me with what I needed for the time, but anyway].
I have now had several calls with tesco, correspondence which involved emails I had to print and send (no customer service email address), and still no joy. Despite significant evidence of what happened (receipts, lost baggage claim forms, email from airport etc), they still do not seem to want to pay, apparently because it is my fault for not getting them enough information.
Anyway, I would NOT recommend Tesco Travel insurance to anyone - if I can save someone else some money, my rant will have been worth it!
