Bad Points

Battery life can be a little annoying.
No gapless playback of music - (breaks between songs that flow together)

General Comments

You take your first picture and instantly you notice the superlative image quality, image processing and optics make me think the Sony Ericsson C905 is a camera with a phone attached.
The usual SE refinements all work here and couple that with the Vodafone network (which really is the best I have ever used) means that this camera is my star rated choice.

Normally when I buy a phone I go for the feel of it and it's ability to make calls and keyboard quality (for texting). It's a membrane keyboard, but don't let that put you off, it has a solid feel and once you get used to the weight distribution it feels very natural.

The simplicity of operation is helped by the attention to detail of the user interface and if you have ever owned an SE phone you'll be up to speed in no time.
It feels good in your hand (not to light or heavy) and seems to always do what I want it to.
Remember the key point of this phone is that it's a snappers paradise, lots of manipulation tools and when you take a picture at full resolution try zooming into the image and cropping it, there is no 'noise' or distortion - amazing!
If you use Flickr or some other photo sharing site like I do you'll love the geo-tagging facility, in affect the in-built sat nav puts your location onto the photo and Flickr builds a map showing exactly where and when the shot was taken.

The music player is well featured, but I wish SE would just do the decent thing and add gapless playback - it would be excellent then and I could leave my ipod in the car.

Forget the N96 and the iPhone - while they are great phones in themselves, the C905 has the extra thought that makes it a winner.
When you hold a working one you will know why I mentioned the build quality.

Bootnote:
I use Vodafone as my provider (having moved from Orange and O2) and they bundle a basket of applications which you can subscribe to. I currently have Vodafone music (which is excellent) - I mean over a million tracks on your phone for less than £5 a month. I also have mobile TV and I still can't believe that I can watch live football on the train.
I recommend that you choose your network with as much care as your phone. What's the point of running a performance car on paraffin? If you get a phone that offers performance via 3G you need a network that can deliver the goods. The other great thing is that I always keep my call even in the bad areas near where I live. Also, they aren't expensive, in fact their charges are the same as all the other providers.
